Tillie Long is someone when you meet her you feel like you have known Tillie your whole life.

Tillie Long dances every day of the week . Tillie is quick to get new dancers up and dancing she has danced for years and is quick to teach people the basics .

Tillie lives in a ,Cincinnati Ohio , town which promotes dancing .Tillie first learned to ballroom dance from her father . When Tillie started dancing Big Bands were every where . Today Tillie Long is both a square dancer as will as a Ballroom dancer .

When Tillie started square dancing she was nervous about it because she knew nothing about it but knew everything their was to know about ballroom dancing . But Tillie learned quickly and is as much at home with square dancing as ballroom dancing .

Tillie promotes dancing to everyone she meets she carries around papers and schedules for dances for new comers to show up at dances she knows where everyone dances and she goes dancing every night this has kept her physically fit . Happiness comes from dancing .Her husband died years ago but she has a lot of friends and a active social life with her dancing friends . The good she has done and continues to do will live years after she dies .

Tillie is teaching a new generation about dancing and keeping a live a great american past time .

Square dancing

Is usually learned by doing our country is full of square dance callers . Square dancing has been part of our heritage for over 100 years dances were originally held in barns . Bands showed up to play music local people who owned violens and guitars they sang women cooked food for the party . You don't have to square dance long to learn the Virginia real or what almand left means or dose doe .

Old dancers still come to dances

Sometimes they come to socialize with the other dancers . I have seen people on oxgen at dances I am sure they are remembering the good times they have had dancing. They listen to the music a lot of them are in better shape then non dancers their age .

Line Dancing

Will always be popular as long as women out number men two to one . Everyone gets to pretiscipate even the single ladies and single men . It is good extercise and helps to raise peoples dancing abilities . Alot of the steps can be used in ballroom dancing and some line dances are based on ballroom dances ..

Dance Club Presidentes

Is a program which involves doing dancing and exercise together . After all dancing is good for the heart and the whole body . When you learn to dance you need to share it with non dancers because we can always use a bunch of new dancers starting to replace the old dancers who are quiting .

Dance club board members

Are people who don't have as much responsiblity as the president of the dance club but they spend major time doing good things . They are the secretary the vice president and various board members . They attend meetings and help the club out without them you wouldn't have some clubs in existence for 20 years we actually had a women years ago who washed tableclothes to keep the budjet down for the club .
