Children need to have fun in life parents need to look through old scout books I remember finding this thing where you poked holes in tin cans tied string around them and children walked on them .

I also remember trying to make stilts for my kids to learn to walk on my kids loved these things .

One of my children liked Richard Scary , the other one liked snoopy.

I can still see Snoopy as the red baron off fighting a long ago war.

I can still see Lowly worm and he's friends boy what great childrens books

Then they would go swimming some with their friends my kids were always tan from swimming .

Summer camp is a source of fun for kids also my kids loved summer camp your kids will to they are not all that expensive and some times they offer scholarships for needy kids .

They are full of people who really like kids and do volunteer work to help children .

Special musical programs are a part of summer also .Their is also summer camps of all kinds for kids to attend sports camps art camp full week camps and day camps to keep kids busy .
